Holiday Make-up Trends: Shiny Glossy Lips

To get glossy lips that endure a party like Sonam's, apply a lip stain (M.A.C Pro Longwear Lustre in Fully Charged) and let it set for a minute, then apply the double-ended top coat. You can reapply it after eating and drinking with out a mirror. To enhance small lips, line them just outside the natural line with a neutral pencil (M.A.C Lipglass Pencil in Rosebound).

Traditional Wear Classic Make-Up (Eastern vs. Western)

Make-up expert Ambika Pillai prescribes the the perfect look for ladies rocking traditional wear. “Ethnic classy dressers look great with dark, pronounced eyes. Even if they are not the thick black kajal type, they could use liner. The mouth looks best when kept pale and matte.”

The western classic woman, says Ambika, should highlight her brow bone and the centre of the eyelids with white shimmer. “The cheeks should be kept healthy and rosy and the mouth glossy. Soft curls or straight hair complement her style best.”

Make-up Trend: Frosty Pink Lips

Sonam Kapoor can't seem to get enough of this ultra-shimmery cotton candy shade in her new movie, neither should you.

Keep the rest of your makeup simple and neutral, and choose a lipstick instead of a glossy lacquer.

Make-up Trend: White Eyeliner

Apply white liner along the inner and outer corner of each eye. Don't go all the way around to keep your eyes looking big. With white eyeliner keep your eyes bare with a subtle sheen by dabbing on Rosebud Salve lip balm.
